Colonel in Chief visits 2 R IRISH

The Colonel in Chief, His Royal Highness The Duke of York, visited the 2nd Battalion The Royal Irish Regiment, the Territorial Army battalion, at Clonaver Park Territorial Army Centre in East Belfast on 10 March 2014.

DoY visitHe was met by the Commanding Officer and a Guard of Honour with the Pipe Major playing for him on arrival and departure. Rangers showed off the Battalion’s capabilities with a number of stands and demonstrations. Prince Andrew also presented several awards, including a Colonel in Chief’s commendation.
